Twenty-two scenic miles from Taos, N.M., a cultural haven southwestern of museums, art galleries, restaurants and shops, Sipapu offers varied terrain for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing-and lessons for adults and children. In the summer, the resort becomes Sipapu Disc Golf Course-traditional golf but with Frisbees. During fall and summer, outdoor adventure includes fly-fishing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, rafting, rock climbing, motorcycle rallies, and arts and crafts fairs.
The resort hosts corporate gatherings, retreats, family reunions and weddings for up to 260 people. The Sipapu Grill serves everything from burgers and fries to authentic New Mexican specialties, while Olive's General Store & Gifts offer guests 22 flavors of homemade fudge.
