The 900-acre Grand Traverse Resort and Spa stands along the shores of Lake Michigan's East Grand Traverse Bay in Acme, Michigan. This property is six miles northeast of Traverse City.

The resort's 16th-floor Aerie Restaurant & Lounge focuses on regional American favorites and locally produced wines, artisan breads and cheeses. Aerie Lounge hosts entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Sweetwater American Bistro serves regionally influenced American fare. The Grille is open during golf season and serves club-style sandwiches and salads. The Marketplace offers deli dishes. The Spa Grand Traverse features a pedicure suite, 22 massage rooms and a spa dining room. The health club houses an indoor water playground with a waterslide and a zero-depth spray area.
